The Shack

The “Shack” is a special bar-area offering: “We have over 120 whiskies, 60 beers, 25 ciders & seltzers. Over 21 ONLY!”

The Shack maintains the same scenic, relaxed outdoor-garden/pond setting as the main restaurant: outdoor seating, lawn games, views of the natural grounds. The overall property has ponds, garden-grown produce, outdoor games (cornhole, etc.).
The bar space offers a more adult-oriented hangout: many whiskies, a strong beer/cider list, seltzers. Good for patrons wanting to relax after or before dinner, or just grab drinks.
It has a casual but polished feel: rustic “shack” branding, but with curated drinks and attentive service (based on reviews of the restaurant).

From the full menu of The Ponds (not only The Shack) we highlight our own brews (e.g., “Pond Water” ale, “Koi Ale”, etc) and we carry many NYS breweries on tap or in cans.
Specialty cocktail are also offered: e.g., “The Pond Mule”, “Snapping Turtle”, etc. While these apply to the restaurant broadly, The Shack features them as part of its beverage-focus.
Given the emphasis on over-21 expressly, The Shack is specifically the adult, bar-oriented component.

What it does well:

A wide selection of drinks in a scenic, somewhat off-the-beaten-path location.
The combination of a garden/pond setting + quality bar offerings — good for memorable outings, not just a meal.
We appeals to craft-beer/whisky enthusiasts (given the big numbers) as well as to people looking for a relaxed outdoor social venue.

What to bear in mind:

Because it’s more bar-oriented, it might have a different vibe than a quiet fine-dining restaurant — expect socializing, possibly louder outdoor games or music.

Arrive with enough time to enjoy both the drink section (The Shack) and outdoor games/seating by the pond.
